Bathroom & Kitchen Remodeling in Manchester, TN

Manchester is home. The shop is here, the truck sits out front, and the two of us have rebuilt enough bathrooms in Coffee County to know what is behind most of these walls.

The eighties bathroom
is forty years old.

Manchester is the Coffee County seat, about 14,000 people in town and another 48,000 across the county. No one is driving down from Nashville to look at your job. Our shop is on this side of town and we have worked these streets for years.

The median Manchester house went up in 1985, and most of the rest of the stock followed through the eighties and nineties. That puts the typical bathroom in this town at forty years old. It is the age when a builder-grade shower pan starts to weep at the corner, the fiberglass surround yellows past cleaning, and the oak vanity swells at the base.

Seven in ten homes here are owner-occupied and the median value sits near $256,000. People buy in Manchester and stay. That changes the math on a remodel: a shower you put in here, you live with for twenty years.

Around Manchester

We take bathroom, kitchen, and tile work across Manchester, from the older streets near the 1871 courthouse square out past Fred Deadman Park and the Little Duck River greenway, and on into the subdivisions that filled in along the highway.

Manchester Industrial Park covers 405 acres and employs more than 700 people, and Arnold Engineering Development Complex sits down the road in the county. People who work those jobs stay put and pay the house down.

Every June the town swells for Bonnaroo and then goes back to being Manchester. We are here the other fifty-one weeks, which counts for something when a shower job turns up a surprise and you need the crew back that afternoon.

Local questions

Straight answers.

Do you work in Manchester, or only advertise here?

Manchester is where we live and where the shop sits. Tyler and Brian run your job in person, and the drive to your house is ten minutes.

My bathroom is original to a 1987 house. Is it worth remodeling?

Forty-year-old baths are most of what we rebuild. Materials from that era age out on schedule: the pan, the surround, the vanity, the 4-inch wall tile. Pulling one bath to the studs and rebuilding it right costs a fraction of moving.

My bathroom is the only one in the house. How long is it out of service?

Four to seven working days for a standard full bath, demo to walk-through. We give you the number before we start, and we do not stack your job behind three others.

Can you fix cracking grout in a shower without a full rebuild?

Sometimes. Cracked grout on a shower wall points to movement behind the tile or a missing waterproof layer, so we look before we quote. If the substrate is sound we can cut the old grout out and replace the lines. If water has been getting back there for years, patching the surface hides the problem instead of fixing it.
